Date: Half Marathon – July 7, 2012, Saturday 6:30 AM / 5k – 7:30 AM
Location: Arts Park – 700 S. 1300 E. Springville, UT
The Springville Rotary is happy to present the third annual Hobbler Half. As usual, we'll also have a 5k. This is a mainly downhill course. There are some rolling hills during the first few miles. The last couple hundred yards, although relatively flat, is a killer. Although the last bit of the race is tough, you can expect to get a personal record on this course. The race starts at the top of Left Hand Fork in Hobble Creek Canyon and ends at Springville City's Arts Park. You'll follow the canyon through overhanging trees, to the Hobble Creek trail (paved) and follow Hobble Creek all the way into Springville City. The last 4 miles meander through Springville City neighborhoods all the way to the Arts Park where the party awaits. The race will be chip timed, you'll have aid stations every 2 miles, and you'll get a racing shirt. Last but not least, you'll be supporting scholarships for local kids and Rotary International projects.

START LINE TRANSPORTATION: Half Marathon partcipants will be shuttled from the finish line at Arts Park – 700 S. 1300 E. Springville UT, to the starting line. All half marathon participants must use the shuttle/bus as parking or drop off at the start line is not possible. Buses will shuttle participants from Arts Park starting at 5:00 am. The final bus leaves at 6:00 am. Arrive early to ensure you will be able to run! The final shuttle will hold a limited amount of runners. If you do not make it on time to ride the buses you will NOT be able to drive to the starting line because the left fork of Hobble Creek Canyon will be closed to all traffic.

Half Marathon 2nd Place (male and female)- $100

Half Marathon 3rd Place (male and female) – $75

Overall 5k Winners (male and female) – $75

Medals will be awarded to the top 3 finishers in each age division.
